Item works as described and saves wear on the buffer. Easy to install. Just clean buffer and apply with the self-adhesive.

I have this buffer pad on my .50 Beowulf and I find that it works just fine. I also use my .223 upper on the same lower and no problems. I did notice that the bolt didn't lock open at first, but after a dozen rounds or so, it worked just fine. I think it is worth the peace of mind and wear and tear on the buffer. Still cheaper than replacing the buffer.

Absolute crap. Needs to be way thinner. Will not let bolt lock open. Do not buy.

This product seemed like a good idea, but after installing, my bolt won't lock open after the last round (223 AR-15). As another reviewer stated, must be limiting bolt travel. Either needs to be substantially thinner, or removed completely.

While this may do what it says, it limits the bolt travel to the rear. When pulling the charging handle the bolt will barely go back far enough to lock open on some magazines, other magazines won’t lock open at all. When you fire the last round the bolt won’t lock back at all. I tried this in my .50 Beowulf and two 223 AR-15’s, all had the same problem. I guess this would be OK if you don’t care if the bolt locks open.
